CONTENTS VIEW 151

(Published June 2025)

The challenging circumstances we face mark a time of reflection, resilience, and renewal. This period is not merely a moment for recovery and perseverance but also an opportunity to reassess, question what must change, and build the strength to move forward. Talent alone is insufficient to stay afloat. What often proves vital is imagination, a search for forms of escape that stretch beyond the visible limits of possibility.
Imagination transforms what once seemed unattainable or illusory into something tangible. It brings to life visions once confined to dreams, shaping narratives that carry us into alternative realms, challenge our perception of reality, and provide glimpses of the future. In stories that surprise us, they present inventive ideas that serve as solutions and sanctuaries. They may even become shields, both literal and metaphorical, against an unyielding present.

CONTENTS VIEW  151

Future matters
Smart solutions – moving from conventional or ‘sustainable’ practices to truly regenerative systems is neither simple nor one‐dimensional
The future of making – fashion: a global economic engine, cultural mirror, political statement, and increasingly, a tool for justice

Contemporary A/W 26/27
Womenswear and menswear colours, styling, fabrics, knits, and accessories. We offer six stories that reflect our continued search for meaning and speak to a growing movement: the rise of conscious consumerism and the growing demand for purposeful, ethical, and authentic design.

Casual & Athleisure A/W 26/27
Casual, athleisure and denim concepts, fabrics, and accessories. An interplay between fact and fiction, between impossibility and potential, between function and desire. Imaginative dreams become shifting realities that redefine what is possible in the world to come.

Inspirations
The Kind Revolution. The world is full of virtuous and powerful examples of people who believe that another way is possible. New ways of breeding sheep and growing vegetables, the slow way. Photo: quintosapore
Gisela McDaniel’s paintings combine image, sound, and materials into vibrant portraits that are both deeply personal and politically resonant
