The EU directive banning fluorescent lighting has come into force (February 24, 2025), and we as an industry are faced with an urgent need to adapt to more sustainable lighting technologies. LED lighting is known for its energy efficiency, long life and flexibility, but it also affects how our eyes and brain perceive colors. This depends on how the reflection curve of the lighting looks and what color rendering it has. Now we introduce the Judge LED from X-Rite. A light cabinet with 7 different light sources, including daylight and UV, where previous fluorescent spectral effects are replicated to ensure consistent and accurate color assessments and meets international standards such as ISO 23603 and ISO 3664.
