A+A VIBE 26.1 - ACTIVE COLORS & MATERIALS

A full range of colors developed for the activewear, tech and accessories markets It includes: key directions & themes of the season through, keywords and text, innovative materials & finishings, color harmonies, and inspirational imagery.

FROM THE EDITOR:

“Fear” is the common denominator for 26.1 but with an optmistic and curious attitude! The fear of an uncertain future and renewed global conflicts. The continued realization and catastrophic news about climate change, the discovery of new and unknown viruses, and the unknown effects of Artificial Intelligence, are just some of the drivers that are influencing the contemporary consumer in making oKen extreme choices. New dystopian visions, images of dark and post-apocalyptic worlds, of mutations and deformed inhuman creatures. They all seem to lose their creepy status by taking on a cathartic and almost reassuring value. Redefining the concept of "beautiful," of gender stereotypes, of inclusivity, of the "woke" culture. A renewed interest in seduction, in the freedom and openness to display the body with a certain naive and fetish passion. We are split between the desire for rigor, essentiality, functionality and minimalism and the new image culture generated by Deep Learning technologies. A hybrid world with the re-definition of symbols and the complexity of historical and iconographic references. Activewear appropriates this unprecedented language and is inspired by fantastic creatures, transforming them into sophisticated, trans-humanistic style icons. The drive towards a beRer future pushes the search for more innovative materials, always bio-compatible, recycled and degradable, but also for customizations and decorations. A strong retro-futurist component full of references to icons of Pop culture, revised in a contemporary key. These are the new parameters of a more modern aesthetic and design but with a strong optimistic vision filled with dreams and ready to welcome new future worlds.

Themes in Vibe 25.2

1. BODYPOSITIVE
A theme that combines nineteenth-century Gothic and futurist suggestions with a strong sensual and almost
erotic character. The body as a new symbol of fluid identity, beyond traditional genres and classical stereotypes.
Somewhat fetishistic references to Victorian lingerie and corsetry revisited in a futuristic version. References to
extreme luxury in a sporty version through jewel-details, crystals, encrustations of beads and sequins in an active
version.
Colours: A range of very dark colors in contrast with inclusive epidermal ones. Touches of precious metals.
2. UNIFORMITY
The revenge of "normcore" in a sporty-active version. Strong minimalist components, with references to the
early 00s and vaguely retro Sci-Fi suggestions. Sports activities in unusual settings weightless, made possible by
the contemporary development of human space travel, as in the technologically plausible visions of Stanley
Kubrick’s "2001- A Space Odyssey" or scuba diving in icy, polar environments, marine excursions during the cold
season.
Colours: devoid of any personality and excess. Whitened, bleached, grayish. Cool metallic touches.
3.THE LAST OF US
A theme that flirts with the thaumaturgical concept of Armageddon using worn-looking technological materials,
rusty and oxidized surfaces, handcrafted, patched and recycled-looking details. Inspired by the success of
dystopian fiction and catastrophic visions of the future. A vision of a post-apocalyptic future, translated into
functional, transformable, versatile, resilient sportswear and accessories. Strong "utility" component, urban
version for a more dramatic, almost militaristic "gorpcore" spirit.
Colours: Sandy, muddy, woody tones. Brownish neutrals, clay, reddish, earthy.
4. NEON FLUX
Still a dystopian universe, immersed in a perpetual rainy night from which faint flashes of bright, colorful lights
emerge. Purely urban retro-futuristic, strongly influenced by the dark atmospheres of Blade Runner and
enlivened by colored neon. Urban images revised using Deep Learning Digital technology to revisit classic
sporting elements in a hybrid and creative version.
Colours: Shades of darks and lights in contrast with russet tones, turquoise, jade green, petrol blue.
5.ANCIENT RéGIME.
Strongly influenced by A.I. by revisiting the aesthetic and cultural icons that have played a fundamental role in
defining the sport’s image and design. From hip-hop to “bling” culture, from bowling and American football
aesthetics to western influences relaunched in glitter and fantasy versions. A theme that redefines popular
luxury stereotypes in a digital version, blending different details into a new, unprecedented language but with a
strong retro- nostalgic component.
Colours: Red represents the element of luxury. Carmine, burgundy, claret, geranium pink, mauve, amethyst in
different intensities and shades, and combined with opulent luxurious metals, gold, brass, copper, bronze.
6.MELUSINE
The title of the theme refers to a mythological figure from the European Middle Ages: the fairy Melusine, a
hybrid being, somewhere between human, fish or serpentine that represents, in this case, the symbol of the
fluidity of the modern. The desire to create a new ideal of transhumanist beauty in which sexual, as well as
animal, genders are not defined. The definition of a new aesthetic identity, different from traditional canons,
strongly influenced by the search for innovative materials, often of biological origin, and a more inclusive sports
design open to the diversity and complexity of anatomies.
Colours: palette plays with the stereotypes of ugliness and repulsion by proposing a sequence of greenish, slimy,
murky hues, often found in new generation and biologically derived materials, but far from the classic colors
associated with the idea of "beautiful."
7.BLUETOPIA
A strong oneiric component, a renewed interest in psychedelic culture, typical of the hippie culture of the 60s,
reinvented by the infinite possibilities of contemporary digital technology. Futuristic visions of extraterrestrial
worlds generated by Artificial Intelligence by combining surreal images with spatial suggestions strongly
indebted to the Sci-Fi imagery of historical Fanzines. An optimistic and positive vision of the future imagined as
a new spatial Eden in which activewear becomes an ideal component of everyday life thanks to its versatility
and performance.
Colours: a wide range of blues, from rosy, indigo, electric, periwinkle to petrol blues. Greenish blues, aquatic
blues and turquoises. Colors to be freely combined to obtain ombre effects, shadows, gradients, iridescent,
mother-of-pearl shades.
