Welcome to the era of Interior Design: exploring beauty and functionality.
For 26.2, interior design evolves into an art form that expresses authenticity, functionality and beauty through a
vibrant dialogue with nature and the diverse cultures of the world. This new approach is embodied by six distinct
yet interconnected themes, each with its unique personality and the ability to transform domestic spaces into
personal havens of inspiration and comfort. A revival of soft flooring is evident, where rugs and carpets play their
role in spatial designs used creatively for both flooring and walls. We are seeing a growth in emerging textures,
shapes and colors that emphasize a strong need for human connection and well-being in our tech driven world. A
focus on thoughtfulness and longevity mixed with personal expression is key. Never forget to honour our earth,
our community, craftmaship and tradition, fostering genuine connections with products and their designers. We
are living an interesting and evolving new era of design innovation, addressing climate change, exploration,
incredible creativity and a sprinkle of nostalgia.
